IBMA’s Kids on Bluegrass will pay tribute to Houston during a program at the Nashville Convention Center, Sat. Oct. 2, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. Many of Houston’s friends, fans, fellow musicians will be there along with Tess, Kenneth and Hayden. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Caldwell’s.

Pin ItIt was easy to see how much Houston Caldwell was loved when I went to my first planning meeting a couple of Tuesdays ago. I have been involved with groups planning events before, but never had I seen such an overwhelming turnout of very talented and loving people. I volunteered to head up the website development and graphic committee, and our group of 5 or 6 will be doing everything from social networking to site updating to designing programs and the look of the site.
We’re meeting today as a committe to discuss the website plans. For now, we have posted all the information available to us at this time, basically info related to the Houston Fest planning. I’ll be adding forms so you can volunteer or submit information. And the website will be constantly updating and growing on a daily if not weekly basis as we head toward the May Festival date.
